Varberg, Sweden, June 12, 2024; Ekkono Solutions AB, a global pioneer in Edge AI software, has elected Petra Sundström as chairwoman of the board at the general shareholders’ meeting last week. Petra, currently Managing Director of TRATON Charging Solutions AB (TRATON being the Volkswagen HDV division with brands like SCANIA and MAN), brings extensive industrial background to Ekkono.
“I’m delighted to join Ekkono at this stage when leading edge innovation is being converted into big business”, says Petra. “I come from the industry with an extensive experience of what it takes to succeed with transformational innovation projects in these large corporations that are Ekkono’s customers.”
Prior to TRATON, Petra was Vice President and Head of Digital Offering at Sandvik (STO: SAND) Rock Processing Solutions, and Director of Idea and Innovation Management at Husqvarna Group (STO: HUSQ). Petra holds a PhD from Stockholm University and has been conducting research in the field of digitalization before starting her endeavor in the corporate world. Besides Ekkono, she is also a member of the board at the global pump manufacturer Concentric (STO: COIC).

As a pioneer in the space of Edge AI, Ekkono has shaped the global market together with high profile customers like Atlas Copco (STO: ATCO) and partners like Infineon (ETR: IFX).
